Blackford Financial Services are a firm of Independent Financial Advisers and can provide products from a number of companies. Business conducted directly from our website will be treated on an “Execution Only” or “Limited Advice” basis. This means that we will act purely on your instructions. No advice or opinion will be given ie. we will process a specific product request, or we will provide you with the most inexpensive policy available from our panel of insurers for the cover you require. Should you require specific advice, you will be required to complete a fact find document so that we may accurately provide the advice you require.
Any specific product, case study, suggested sum assured or calculator shown on our website is for illustrative purposes only and should not be treated as a recommendation. We require our clients to give us instructions in writing, facsimile or email in order to avoid misunderstanding. However we will accept oral instructions providing they are confirmed in writing in due course. Blackford Financial Services do not directly handle clients’ money or operate a “client account”. All monies pass directly between our client and the product provider. We usually derive our income in the form of commission received from investment/insurance companies in respect of each new policy commenced. On rare occasions it may be necessary to charge a fee and in such circumstances our client will be notified before costs are incurred.
For business conducted on an “Execution Only” or “Limited Advice” basis we will not provide advice in respect of the taxation implications of your chosen policy. The only taxation information issued is that contained in the product literature provided which may not be relevant to your status and should be confirmed by an appropriate source. We reserve the right not to conduct business with applicants from certain countries. We will inform you if this is applicable in your specific case, which will be in reply to your communication ie. quotation request, email or telephone call.
We will not conduct business with citizens or residents of the United States of America. If you wish to confirm that we will conduct business with you in advance, please contact us. You may be restricted by local regulations applicable in your country or jurisdiction from accessing this site. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for this should you choose to enter this site.
